Instructor Bios:

  Jess McCluer, VP of Safety and Regulatory Affairs, manages NGFA’s wide-ranging operational programs concerning employee safety and industrial health, environmental issues, grain-handling facility design and equipment, and grain inspection and weighing issues. He joined NGFA’s staff in 2007 after serving since April 2003 as a program analyst at the OSHA’s Office of Outreach Services and Alliances. A native of Dallas, Texas, he graduated from Texas A&M University with degrees in political science and international studies. He also received a master’s degree in political management from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
  Brian Wanzenried is the Director of Environmental for Gavilon, LLC’s. He has over 25 years of experience in chemical & environmental engineer-ing including environmental regulatory compliance, safety and industrial hygiene, training, site assessments and cleanup, natural resources, security and transportation. At Gavilon, Mr. Wanzenried oversees the environmental programs for several hundred, fertilizer, grain, and ingredient facilities.
  Matt Shurtliff is the Director of Safety and Environmental Issues for J.D. Heiskell & Co.  Matt has more than 20 years of experience in the Safety, Health, and Environmental industry. He has worked on a wide variety of environmental and safety issues, including development of Safety programs, OSHA compliance, environmental compliance, environmental site characterization and remediation,  and environmental litigation.
